We are licensed and insured
Rockland Handyman Services holds New York Home Improvement Contractor License #H26-626 and carries insurance. That license covers home improvement work: carpentry, drywall, painting, tile, flooring, trim, decks, kitchens, bathrooms, and basements.
Some trades carry their own license
Rockland County licenses electrical contractors and plumbing contractors separately, and New York State licenses mold assessment and remediation separately. A home improvement license is not any of those, and no single license covers all of them. That is how it works for every contractor in the county, not just for us.
So we bring in the specialist and manage them
When your job includes electrical, plumbing, or mold work, that portion is performed by a licensed specialist we bring in and manage. We schedule them, we sequence them around the rest of the work, and we are the ones answering for the result.
What that means for you
One call. One quote. One company to hold responsible when it is finished. You do not source a plumber, chase an electrician, sit through two separate arrival windows, or referee between trades who blame each other for the same problem. Handling that is a large part of what you are hiring a contractor for.
